The Packers began the 2017-18 season 4-1. However, their fast start came to a screeching halt in week 5, when Aaron Rodgers broke his collarbone as a result of being driven to the ground by the Minnesota Viking’s Anthony Barr.
The Packers finished the season 7-9 under the leadership of backup quarterback, Brett Hundley.
The good news for Packers fans is that AR is back under center and he is ready to restore the Packers winning ways.
I expect our Packers to begin the season red hot as they play three of their first four games at Lambeau. The Pack will earn hard fought wins against the Bears, Vikings, Bills and Redskins.
Our first loss will be at Detroit. Detroit always plays us tough in front of their hometown fans. The 49ers are a much improved team but I don’t think they have the fire power to beat us on our home turf.
Playing the Rams and Patriots back-to-back after our bye week will send us into a minor slump. I’m not happy about that but it’s reality. Both the Rams and Patriots are Super Bowl contenders and will be anxious to prove they can beat the formidable Aaron Rodgers.
The next few games look tough on paper but we’ll pull out the necessary victories to continue our winning season. I’m predicting we make easy use of Miami at home and narrowly defeat Seattle at Centurylink.
I expect the Packers to lose a close one at Minnesota. Even when they are basement dwellers they play us like it’s their Super Bowl.
We’ll easily handle the Cardinals though they’ve seemed to have our number the last couple of years. They’re not the same team we played and lost to in the 2015 playoffs.
The last part of the season stacks up well for us. We play the Falcons and Lions at home and the Bears and Jets on the road.
Mark those games down in the win column. The Lions and Falcons are both dome teams who struggle in cold weather games and though we have to travel to Chicago and New York, both of those teams are no match for AR and company.
As a result of our strong play to finish the season, I predict that we will finish 12-4 and lock up a high seed in the NFC playoffs.
